Welcome to GetVerified. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the GetVerified platform (website and mobile applications) that connects clients with verified real estate agents in Lagos, Nigeria. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not agree, do not use GetVerified.

To use GetVerified, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be legally capable of entering into binding contracts under Nigerian law
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Not be prohibited from using our services by any applicable law
3. Account Registration
3.1 Creating an Account
You must create an account to use GetVerified. You agree to:
- •Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- •Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
- •Keep your password secure and confidential
- •Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- •Be responsible for all activity under your account
3.2 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- You provide false or misleading information
- Your account is involved in fraudulent activity
- We believe termination is necessary to protect GetVerified, other users, or comply with law
4. GetVerified Services
4.1 For Clients
GetVerified provides:
- Access to a database of verified real estate agents in Lagos
- Matching services based on your requirements
- Agent ratings and reviews from verified clients
- Customer support to facilitate communication
4.2 For Agents
GetVerified provides:
- Verification and credentialing services
- Access to pre-qualified client leads
- Profile listing with "Verified Agent" badge
- Performance tracking through ratings and reviews
4.3 What We Do NOT Provide
GetVerified is a marketplace platform. We do NOT:
- Act as a real estate agent or broker ourselves
- Take commission on real estate transactions between clients and agents
- Guarantee you will find a property, complete a transaction, or earn income
- Participate in negotiations between clients and agents
- Verify the accuracy of property listings shown by agents
5. Pricing and Payment

Agents join GetVerified completely FREE. There are no subscription fees, listing fees, or commission charges. Agents keep 100% of their commissions from client transactions.
5.4 Refund Policy
Refunds are available under the following conditions ONLY:
NO REFUNDS after:
- • Agent contact has been made (service delivered)
- • You switch agents (you used the service)
- • 90-day validity period expires
- • You violate these Terms
6. Agent Verification Process
Important Verification Limitation
While we conduct thorough background checks, verification does not guarantee an agent's future conduct, honesty, or competence. GetVerified's verification is not a professional license or certification. We verify identity and basic credentials only.
6.4 Agent Removal
Agents are automatically suspended or removed if:
- Average rating falls below 3.5 stars
- They receive 3 consecutive ratings below 3 stars
- Fraud or scam activity is confirmed
- They violate Agent Terms (harassment, misrepresentation, non-responsiveness)
- They fail to respond to clients within 2 hours on 3 or more occasions

Client Responsibilities

- ✓Conduct your own due diligence
- ✓Provide honest, fair ratings
- ✓Pay agent commissions as agreed
Agent Responsibilities
- ✓Provide accurate verification info
- ✓Respond within 2 hours
- ✓Show only legitimate properties
- ✓Be honest about details
- ✓Maintain professional standards

9. Limitation of Liability
IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
GetVerified is a marketplace platform connecting clients and agents. We are NOT a real estate agency, broker, or transaction party. We do not own, manage, or guarantee properties, agents, or transactions.
Your Responsibility
YOU are responsible for:
- Conducting due diligence on properties, land titles, and agents
- Verifying ownership documents and property legality
- Engaging licensed professionals (lawyers, surveyors)
- Reading and understanding contracts before signing
- Reporting suspicious activity to us and law enforcement
Limitation of Damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY NIGERIAN LAW:
- •GetVerified is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- •Our total liability is limited to ₦15,000 (amount you paid in the last 12 months)
- •We are not liable for agent fraud, property scams, or failed transactions
11. Dispute Resolution
11.2 Disputes with GetVerified
Contact support@getverified.ng with details of the issue
We will investigate and respond within 7 business days
If unresolved, you may pursue legal action in Nigerian courts
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any legal action must be brought in Lagos State courts.
